Hiya!

Elayise Jimenez Marty is a queer, neurodivergent, Puerto Rican sequential illustrator currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree for General Fine Arts in Baltimore. They won the JUST/Start Idea Competition: First Place Award (RCCE); announced October 1, 2025. With the $5,000 dollar funding, they created this website, unique merchandise, and hosted their launch event; Diving In: A Comic Out Loud Reading. They would later be awarded ECE (Emerging Creative Entrepreneurs) Award of $6,000 dollars in Spring 2026 for their active participation in the creative ecosystem. Elayise's art practice focuses on the experience of being othered as a minority within the mainstream public and even inside communities that are supposed to be welcoming. When Elayise isn't in college, they work on their comic and other projects.
